Convert SVG animation into PNG (animated)

This is an online SVG to PNG converter. Upload your SVG file and supply us with a few details. This could take 2 to 3 minutes, depending on the length and dimension. The maximum conversion length is 60 seconds. Horizontal 1920(width)x1080(height) or Vertical 1080(width)x1920(height) are the maximum supported dimensions.

Upload an animated svg file.

Enter the url of animated svg. (For example: https://yourserver/..../abc.svg).

Please Note: If you have included svg file within the html/web page, use the "HTML5 to GIF" option.

Select Advance Options

Check this box to create a APNG with a transparent background.

Enter the width for output between 30 and 1920.

Enter the height for output between 30 and 1920.

Choose the number of loops for the output png.

Enter the animation's duration in seconds.

Please keep in mind that if your creative includes a loop/iteration, you must enter the duration of the single/first loop. For example, if you want to run an animation for 30 seconds with each iteration lasting 5 seconds, enter 5 as the duration and 6 from the 'loop' drop down.

Select frames per second. PNG file size is determined by FPS. Lower FPS means smaller file size.

Two steps: The tool will extract photos from your svg animation for the length given. It will prompt you to select the Start and End frames (essentially the range to appropriately chop it) before generating the final result. If you are a new user, choose this option.

One Step: In this step, the tool will generate the final output directly till the duration limit is reached. It is only for experienced users.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is PNG (animated)?
  • Animated Portable Network Graphics (APNG) is a file format which extends the Portable Network Graphics (PNG) specification to permit animated images that work similarly to animated GIF files, while supporting 24-bit images and 8-bit transparency not available for GIFs. It also retains backward compatibility with non-animated PNG files. The first frame of an APNG file is stored as a normal PNG stream, so most standard PNG decoders are able to display the first frame of an APNG file. The frame speed data and extra animation frames are stored in extra chunks (as provided for by the original PNG specification). APNG competed with Multiple-image Network Graphics (MNG), a comprehensive format for bitmapped animations which was created by the same team as PNG and is obsolete. APNG's advantage was the smaller library size and compatibility with older PNG implementations. In a comparison made between GIF, APNG and lossless WebP, APNG had the lowest file size.

  • Is it possible to modify the background colour?
  • Yes, select "Select Background" or enter the custom (HEX) code in the input box. For example, #000000 represents black and #FFFFFF represents white.

  • Is it feasible to export Lottie animation as a transparent APNG?
  • Yes, select the option "Make Background Transparent*". An APNG, or Animated Portable Network Graphic, provides both 24-bit colour and 24-bit transparency, allowing for high-quality animation with a transparent background.

  • Is APNG a lossy or lossless format?
  • The simple answer is that PNG files provide lossless compression while JPEG files do not. This means that, unlike JPEGs, PNGs do not lose any image data when compressed. On the other hand, lossless compression causes PNGs to be significantly larger files than JPEGs, necessitating more storage space.

  • Is APNG more compact than GIF?
  • Both GIF and APNG are lossless, however apng is smaller and has higher quality (more colours and transparency). Unfortunately, apng is largely unsupported, however this may change in the future.

  • What can APNG be used for?
  • APNG files may store 24-bit pictures and have an 8-bit transparency. Backward compatibility with non-animated GIF files is provided by APNG. APNG files have the same.png extension as PNG files and may be accessed by software such as Mozilla Firefox, Chrome with APNG compatibility, and iOS 10 iMessage apps.

  • What if my conversion becomes stuck for an extended period of time?
  • You should double-check it by refreshing the browser. If the record's progress does not change, you should try again with a fresh job.
